F5 is a creativity festival exploring the intersection of design, art and technology.
Each F5 has hosted more than 1,200 attendees over two days of boundary-pushing presentations and experiences in New York City.
Together with Motionographer co-founder Carlos El Asmar, I launched F5 and directed its inaugural edition in 2009. In 2011 and 2015, I helped curate speakers and direct marketing efforts.
F5's goal is to engineer creative collisions — insights earned by venturing beyond the boundaries of a single discipline or craft.
F5's speakers represent a provocative cross section of filmmakers, artists, writers, designers, technologists, musicians and scientists.
Beyond the presentations, F5 functions as a technological playground and experimental space for artists and designers. Even the opening title sequence is fertile ground for unexpected hybrids.
F5 inspired and convinced me to stop messing around and make my life what I always imagined it would be.
Since then, it’s been nothing short of amazing. I’m not sure where I would be today, but probably not here and definitely not as happy.
